Out of the Dr. Skaggs collection, in my collection since the estate auction, a nice 1&3/8" (as it was sharpened to) Clovis Paleo--fluted on one side, thinned by several thinning strikes on the reverse; basal and lateral edges are finely ground. The piece is made of either Muldrough or Indian Creek Chert, both types found in Harrison County, Indiana, and in enough shades that deciding exactly which flint it is, well...flip a coin. Much of Dr. Skaggs Paleo collection was area found, some in Spencer & Perry County, Indiana, some in McLean County, Kentucky--he had sellers he regularly bought from in each area, but didn't label this particular Paleo. Figures. Patina, though, is unmistakable, it's 100% guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, my store who does not use paypal--Roy A.
