Out of the Ft. Wayne, Indiana, area, Allen County, the 2&11/16" material a tan (or off-white) chert, but showing what looks like heat treating near the tip--iron oxides are a rust color on the tip. Particularly on the first pictured face the bevel sharpening is that excellent Early Archaic parallel knapping--really good chipping. At the longest measure of the base there was some actual dulling of the basal edge--not a full 'grinding', but the edge is definitely dulled, either intentionally, or from use as a scraping edge. Regardless, something (use) dulled that corner of the base. Width is 1&7/16", 55/16" max thickness--those numbers tell you the piece shows good balance...to compliment the great patina. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or <.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
