The shipping comes with the price, list price is the total on these Ohio River beach finds. All are made of Indiana Harrison County Hornstone, all are mostly Woodland Cultures, Adena (1) and Hopewell (2)--that bifurcated point has Early Archaic blade edge sharpening like a MacCorkle--my 'take' is that an Early Archaic point was found-and-utilized by a much later Hopewell user--"later period use, as it's called. The four, they show USE--simple way of saying that is that the tips show slight dings or repair of a damaged tip in the case of the Snyders form point. Instead of using a specialized knapping tool that Snyders shows a beach rock was used to 'modify' the tip ding--could be the dart was already too short and the user wanted a gouge tip without putting much effort into crafting a tip...1500--2,000 years after the fact, you can watch what they did, but you can't criticize them, they had their reasons. Note that the rounded base Adena has a gouge tip, it's use-modified for work, not simply broken. The longest of the four measures 2". Good pieces, real in every detail. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
