A Gibson County, Indiana, find made of our Harrison County Hornstone,1&11/16" by 1"--barely 1/4" max thickness. Wish I could say the barbs were intact, but this is the way the piece was found, the end chips are ancient. There is great basal edge grinding (always a way to distinguish a Pinetree from a Kirk Cornernotch which seldom had basal grinding). On a closeup I try to tilt a piece (for the camera) so you can see the excellent pressure flaking of the edges, Early Archaic artistry, I think, they were masters of knapping style. So long as I'm alive the piece is guaranteed authentic--get that kind of guarantee from someone else if you can. Shipping is $7.00 and I take payments by check, cash, or M.O.--I do not use paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
