A piece I've held onto for five+ years--I like Cobbs Knives, and converted drills, so this McLean County, Kentucky, piece checked both boxes. The piece is ex Dr. Skaggs Collection of Evansville, purchased from one of his 'finders' back in the early 1990s The flint is (I think) a Muldrough Chert--a lot of fossils in the matrix of the chert,2&3/8" by 1&3/4", a 3/8" thick blade so you know the first-made length was considerably longer--lots of sharpening of the blade, lots of use in-between. One very small fflat spot shows on the very tip (from use, or possibly that's how it finished the last round of Early Archaic chipping, the knapper decided to quit right there--either way, it's intentional, it's not damage. A good piece, real in every detail. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not accept paypal--Roy A.
