I pay the shipping on this Warrick County, Indiana, found Cobbs Knife--what a pair of GREAT bevel-sharpened edges. Hold the knife point towards you and you'll appreciate the pressure chipping that formed those blades--outstanding work. Note the piece may be one of the few hafted Cobbs Knives I've come across--those two basal edge flakes removed had to be 'adjustments' made to haft the knife--two separate flakes removed, sort of the way a Fractured Base Decatur has basal fracturing; interesting that the flakes were removed without the corners being involved--those were avoided in some really careful fracturing. Almost always, you see no evidence of hafting on a Cobbs, they were considered hand-held knives, but this one was definitely on a handle. The patina, tip-to-base, 2&7/8" by 1&9/16", is pure creekstain--REAL. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but I do not use paypal--Roy A.
