Eight Daviess and Henderson County, Kentucky arrows--points--scrapers, a mix of flints and tool functions. They have one thing in common (besides the area where they're from)--they're real. The Adena is the longest, 2&9/16", actually made of a gray hornstone type that bleached over the last couple thousand years. The smallest of the group is made off a flake, note how the reverse side is dished-in, the only flaking chips seen are around the edges--that piece may have been a 'knapping practice' made by a young knapper just learning his skills--I'm of the opinion it's part of the Riverton Culture, but could be related to the very weathered (red) Table Rock it's next to. That point looks like it's washed through gravel bars for the last 3500--45-- years (and might have). The oldest piece is the Greenbrier Hafted Scraper--note the parallel flaking that marks it as a very early-Early Archaic piece. The Sonora Flint Uniface Thumbnail Scraper has a flute-type flake on the uniface side so it could be hafted--you can feel the work polish. Good pieces, all. Shipping is $7.00, checks, cash, money orders, but I do not use paypal--Roy A.
