STUDY POINT--I want that understood--fantastic base, about as 'classical' as an Early Archiac MacCorkle can be, well formed blade edges and shoulders--basal edge grinding is also excellent. The TIP, though was evidently (slightly) damaged and some owner previous to me (Perry County, Indiana, area) rechipped the tip--once you get the point under even a 10x loop you can pick out the tiny hinge fractures that tell you this tip was modern-made. You study pieces like this to understand how a knapper would repair a piece--whether anciently or modern-wise. Alternatively, sent to a professional restorer (I always recommend Keith Etchison) the tip could be restored to where you'd need a microscope to pick out the restoration. One small note--the point was glued on a frame, so if you see a shine on one face it's that glue that needs to be cleaned--I'm selling the piece exactly as I got it a few years back. Shipping is only $5.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s. Sorry I do not use paypal--Roy A.
