Found somewhere on the headwaters of possibly the best-named creek in America--Panther Creek--Daviess or Ohio County, Kentucky. There are multiple branches that become one large creek, and the finder of this Adena was the first creek hunter I ever encountered--he was hunting creeks when every one of us were still hoping a plowed field still held something whole. This Adena is still a full 3" by 1&1/4" after what look like multiple sharpenings of the blade00it's a full 1/2" thick on the medial ridge and that thickness speaks to a much larger, wider blade when it was first made. The flint type is Yellowbanks Chert--a 'cousin' of Indiana Derby Flint, found in streams on the KY side of the Ohio River--deeply patinated, authentic in every detail. Stem edges show some light dulling, but not ovret edge grinding. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
