Out of Gibson County, southwest Indiana, a collection gathered on and along the Wabash River--this North Blade (the preform for a Snyders point) is made of a heat treated fossil chert--not sure what you would call that color, but it's 'influenced' by the high iron content of the fossil chert--not a red, not a purple, somewhere in-between. Length is an excellent (for making a Snyders point)3&3/16" by a wide 2&3/16"--again, this size, 3/8" max thickness is textbook (Overstreet quality) for a North Blade. Note on one blade edge there is a 'vug', a geode-like crystal 'pocket'--and a corresponding stack on the opposite blade face, You get one, you often get a thick spot on the opposite side--hard for any knapper to thin. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic, it's simply real. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, my store doesn't use paypal--Roy A.
