A St. Claire County, s.w. Illinois find, New Athens area--the finder, I was told hunted both on his farm and on the small river nearby--which site produced the Motley (no basal grinding even if it looks more like something from the Early Archaic) I couldn't say, but the collection held some excellent personal finds. Made of a really glossy Avon Chert, 2&1/16" by 1&1/4"--slightly narrower (than it had been) as the one shoulder has a use-made chip at the barb. There is a bit of field dirt remaining--just added to the patina for my collecting purposes. Guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is $9.00, checks or M.O.s are how I welcome-in payments. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
