The group of five come from a Jefferson County, Illinois, collector's lifetime finds--he didn't have all that many Mississippian pieces, not that I saw, so it may well have been only one site that produced his finds (from that culture)--Madison triangles, bow-and-arrow points, and two drills that look like there were made by the same 1250--1400 era knapper. The best of the "Triangles"(Madison Points) is Kaolin Flint, 1&1/16". The longer of the drills is 1&3/8"-and it looks like Avon Chert out of western Illinois (the smaller drill/ perforator looks to have been made from river cobble chert). The smallest of the triangles is a heat treated Burlington Chert--very glossy, it shows the iron oxides of heat-treated flints. All are real, period. Shipping is $9.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed, however I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
