The last owner of this "Copena Classic" had it labeled as "Kentucky", but without a county of origin attached--the style, you know that pretty well places the piece as a western KY find, the Late Woodland Culture thrived along western Kentucky, Tennessee waterways where they made some amazing flint. This 'classic' form is made of a hornstone variety with considerable fossil inclusion, it measures 3&1/4" by 1&3/16", thickness hits max at 3/8". The basal and lateral edges show decent edge grinding. There was at least one ancient sharpening that slightly reduced the original length (the tip shows narrowing but still has the medial ridge thickness, a dead give-away that the piece was once even longer. Patina is great, every detail is real. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O.s are the ways I welcome payments. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
