A fine small Kirk Bifurcate from the Dubois-Pike County, Indiana, creekbeds--Spencer County's Holland Chert (Chalcedony), just under 1&5/8" by slightly over 7/8"--1/4" max thickness. The on-edge photo shows the heavy creek patina. The Kirk must have started slightly longer, you can see the heavy four-sided-blade edges--the sharpening technique Kirks favored, and a trace of a 7500BP impact fracture to the tip.
