The collection had a number of Tennessee points, southern Kentucky pieces, so that's the best provenance I can provide. Authenticity, though, that's no brainer, every detail is guaranteed authentic. Made of a good grade of hornstone2&1/2" by 7/8", might have been an eighth inch longer if not for the impact fracture on the very tip--the fracture left a sharp tip, and that's all the Mid-to-Late Archaic hunter required--they didn't try to rechip a more 'perfect' tip. The point has the sort of 'thick' medial ridge of the Little Bear Creek points, and the almost total lack of basal grinding they're known for. The finder stenciled E26, but there was no catalog accompanying the estate sale--does that refer to a particular site, or county--no way to know. The point, though, is real. Shipping is $8.00 with checks or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
