A southwest Indiana (Daviess County) MacCorkle Early archaic Culture bifurcated point, out Harrison County Hornstone, 2&3/8" by 1&9/16", caliper reads right on 1/4" max thickness--that's thin, the mark of a very skilled 7500BP knapper thinning his preform before notching and edge-flaking the blade with those long pressure-made small chips. The auriculate base is well ground. Note on the side of the tip where a 'touch up' was made--the tip is almost beveled due to that repair of ancient damage--some same-time repair was made to the end of one barb. The tool (knife) was very obviously well cared for. Every detail is guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is included with the price. I welcome checks, I welcome money orders, but I do not use payment services like paypal--Roy A.
