No 'hype' required when a point looks like this Hardin, a brown creekstain on the Hornstone that colors the piece a 'bronze shade'. Length is 3&1/8" by slightly over 1&11/16", with the single thickest measurement reading 5/16" between the barbs. Basal grinding is excellent, barbs are about as perfect as any you'll see. The piece is guaranteed authentic, period. NOW--why is the price so LOW? I bought the piece at an artifact show--from people I know and trust--however what wasn't noticed was that the 1/4" glued-back-on tip. The point is half price because of that tiny fragment that's glued on. Somebody gets a bargain on what WAS a grade 10 point because once upon a time someone got careless. One note: I don't blame the friends I bought the piece from, I doubt they caught the tip break either. In some lighting you won't notice the break, but when you put any (and EVERY) purchase under a loop (as I do), sometimes you "grin and bear it"...and, if sold, you tell any and all faults. Personally, I think the 'glue job' is needing professional repair; Keith Etchison would be my first choice if I would send the point off--you may use Bushey or one of the other artists in repair work--your choice. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O.'s (or cash) are the only ways you can buy this piece as I do not use paypal-type payments--Roy A.
