A Kirk Culture dart point--not serrated, but Palmer Point would apply--base is ground, so you know it's Early archaic Culture--pressure flaked, not percussion, so that's a second 'diagnostic' to look for. The material (chert) is a very patinated Burlington Chert,1&5/8" by 3/4"--only 1/4" max thickness. The piece was in with a Wabash County, Illinois, collection, a piece of Burlington that made its way down the Wabash River from somewhere north of Wabash County--rivers were a 'travel artery', flints moved around with trade and travel. Every detail of this fine dart point is lifetime guaranteed real, period. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
