A couple minutes under a 10x loop, studying the tip to see how much was ground with a Dremel tool--the point itself, a Gibson County, Indiana, Late Archaic Period Turkey Tail is real, but the tip shows (under magnification) grinder marks. Those show up as straight lines, mainly where the blade 'dishes-in' off the side of the tip. I've long since quit trying to figure why you grind or rechip a point--send it to a professional if you want it restored--a pro like Keith Etchison will return a point with a certificate (if you choose) showing before and after photos. That's the best to be done with a point like this...it's also why the price (with shipping included) is so cheap. Length is 2&5/16" by 1&3/16", and only 1/4" max thickness. Good study point, and one to get restored, I think. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but never use payment services like paypal--Roy A.
