Made from creamy colored Chalcedony this Wahmuzza Knife dates from 1500 B.P. to 500 B.P.. It was found on a site near Bingen Washington, by Frank Wilke. Frank was a one term president of The Oregon Archeological Society and was responsible for saving some of the most iconic artifacts found on The Columbia River prior to many sites being inundated by the waters of the Hydro Dams on the Columbia River. People such as Frank are responsible for the history we have concerning the Native tribes and their villages along the Columbia. So much history was lost when the Dams were built. We give this piece a grade of G8.5. had the symmetry been better it might have earned a G9.
