Most Columbia River collectors can tell you how hard it is to find large Lithic items from the Columbia. Almost every original collection assembled prior to the building of the Hydro dams has been purchased and pieced out. Bigger is better and the larger pieces were the first to go. This Late Prehistoric Knife Dates from A.D. 500 to A.D. 1500. Made from Tan Chert it's a handful. Measurements are 3 7/8 in. L. x 11 5/16 W.. Well flaked on both sides, our grade on this piece is G8.5 as it's symmetry is a bit off. It would definitely be a great centerpiece for a frame!
