Cataloged as being found in Fayette County, Illinois, a very good grade of Burlington2&1/4" by 1&1/4"--no basal edge grinding to speak of. The tip was rounded, used as a scraping or buffing edge, pressure chipped in a rounded pattern so often seen on scrapers. One barb shows modern-made damage, patina changes from worn Burlington to bright white (newly exposed) chert. The side of the blade (in green ink) shows a date of 12-06-10 along with several other numbers & letters. The collection had considerable documentation on some pieces, not much on some others, and no provenance on, well, too many. Regardless, the piece is guaranteed authentic, as described. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed, cash if you want to send payment that way, but please note my store does not use paypal--Roy A.
