Price includes the cost of shipping what has to be the most "Utilitarian" Axe the Early archaic Culture ever made in Illinois. Made of a siltstone, but hard enough to take the day-to-day wear an axe goes through...well, mostly it made it through, some obvious pounding chipped off bits of the chopping edge--but let's face it, this axe wasn't made to look pretty, it was functional. Out of the Mt. Carmel, Illinois, area, 3&15/16" reading on the caliper for the length2&15/16" max height, and thickness of 1&3/8". The piece is a field find, as anyone can tell by the plow scratches. One thing you'll never doubt is the authenticity, it (the ax) speaks for itself. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
