With not the slightest grinding on the base of the stem it's easy to type the stemmed point in the Mid Archaic usage, Bentons, Benton Bottle Necks, even the Table Rock Points; It's out of an Edmonson County, Kentucky, collection, 3&1/8" by 1&5/16"--that stack in the middle pushes the max thickness slightly over 3/8", but well formed (thinned ) at upper blade and base--some very skillful pressure flaking formed the extremities. There is a very small tip chip from usage on the knife. The flint is somewhere between a Carter Cave-like flint and a Boyle Chert--like ALL cherts, I'm sure there's an exact name out there, but it might take a bit of searching to find it. Good patina, REAL. Shipping is $8.00. I welcome checks (cash) or money orders, but I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
