A Perry or Spencer County, Indiana, blade found on a Woodland Culture site--the patina is what you expect on Adena and Hopewell-aged Indiana Hornstone--the uniface style is something the Hopewell 'went back to', a throw-back to the Paleo Uniface--made slightly different, sure, but still a uniface blade with multiple features--tool adaptations, that is, a scraping edge here, a cutting edge in another spot, and likely 'rasping edges' (shaft scrapers) indented as needed. Length is just over 3&3/8" by a wide 2&5/8", a center thickness that reaches 9/16". You spot a small bit of cortex on the small flat end, polished smooth to avoid cutting into the users' hand. The "Bullseye" speaks for itself--cool piece. Shipping is included, no additional costs. I welcome checks or M.O.s but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
