Indiana or Kentucky Hornstone--nodular hornstone as the Bullseye shows--length is slightly over 4&1/16" by 1&5/16", and with a center max thickness of only 5/16"--THIN blade, extra long. The patination of the flint is simply no brainer, every detail is guaranteed authentic. Woodland period use left a blade edge 'touch up" from a small nick--it's fully patinated with age. The base of the stem has a clip-off to better haft the big knife--it's not damage, the blade was planned that way. The stem edges show excellent edge grinding. One note: it looks like there was either a provenance tag (I think) on the bullseye, but it was gone when I acquired the big knife. The last owner sent the small collection to auction with no history--frustrating not to be able to offer more history, but the patina speaks volumes--it's authentic. Shipping comes with the price and payment accepted by check or M.O. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
