A massive (comparatively) Lost Lake from the Central City, Kentucky area--Muhlenburg County. This hornstone point has been in my collection something like twenty years, purchased from the now deceased finder, Chris Borden---when he needed a newer truck. Now I do, lol. The tip is 100% intact, the one side of the base and barb are fully intact--the opposite barb and basal corner were restored by Dennis Bushey. Dennis took off the auto body filler Chris had used to patch the tiny bit of ancient damage, the small (highlighted) spots were professionally restored and colored. You buy the hornstone point, you know (upfront) the exact condition. Length is a healthy 3&15.5/ 16"--barely under the 4" mark on my caliper. Width is exactly 2", and max thickness is 3/8". The width/ thickness measures should tell you the knifeblade is a very balanced piece, well knapped and serrated. The price (which includes shipping) reflects the restoration--an almost 4" Lost Lake without the restoration would be many times this cost--fact of life. I welcome checks or money orders, but I do not use paypal. Questions are welcome, "offers" are not--Roy A.
