Slightly over 3&7/8" by 1&11/16"--max thickness of 1/2"--the material is a Perry County, Indiana, Derby Flint--the knife also found there in Perry County. The piece was a Cobbs Knife, Early Archaic Culture, and some try was made at hafting the normally hand-held knife--you see the basal/ corner notch which was started. What stopped the ancient knapper is anyone's guess. Note how the tip was bevel sharpened, too--you can feel some wear as you 'hand examine' the surface (best way, let your hands tell you how a knife--or any tool--was used. Real, period. Shipping is $9.00 (blame the USPS, I don't set their rates). I welcome checks or M.O.s, but do not use paypal--Roy A.
