Four hardstone pieces from a Wabash & Edwards County, Illinois, estate. The Greenstone Celt came to me glued together-couldn't tell you if it was found broken by plows, or was dropped then glued)--no idea--measures 3&3/4". The second Celt is 3&1/8", the material is Porphyry--or something close to that hardstone--old bit damage, and plow scratches from it's recent history. The Gameball is a quartzite, 1&9/16", VERY well formed. The final piece is drilled all the way through, but I "sort of suspect" the finder (Ken S.) saw something that had a rough shape of a bannerstone and decided to "help it along" by drilling a hole...I don't find marks of steel drills, but as one who is always suspicious of Banners, I'll go back to how I just described the piece. Old Glenn Quinn, one I learned so much from, had a saying: "If it looks new...it probably is."--an interesting piece, anyway, included at no additional cost. Have fun with it. Shipping is $11, checks, cash, or M.O>s are the only ways you can pay on this store--I use no electronic payment services--Roy A.
