Up for sale is a very nice artifact out of Mason county, West Virginia. It looks to be an Ashtabula or Susquehanna variant of sorts. The blades exhibit some asymmetry. It has an unworked snapped base and is made from breautiful Wayne County chert; which is a Kentucky sourced material. I have personally found artifacts made from this material here in West Virginia. This artifact displays well and measures 2 1/8" long x 1 7/16" wide. There are noticeable deposits of mineralization and patina throughout, so rest assured of it's authenticity.
