Every tiny dimple you see on the surface, every one, it tells you HOW this Discoidal/ Chunkee Stone was formed: peck-after-peck with a Hammerstone--some piece of quartzite tapped against the Greenstone of this river cobble, tiny bits of stone removed hundreds (if not thousands) of times. The circumference was well ground after the shape was complete, the dimple to each side also polished (but not as heavily as the rim) lightly ground smooth--the holder, the one who rolled the gameball, the double-dimple left good grips for their fingers. The 1&7/8" by 1&1/16" thick stone comes from a Hickman County, Kentucky, collection, very well made, 100% guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $10 (post office rates, not my choice to charge that much for shipping). I welcome checks, cash, or money orders, but I do NOT use paypal-type services--Roy A.
