Out of a S.W. Indiana Spencer County collection, made of a glossy hornstone--Harrison County, Ind. flint,2&5/8" by 1&1/16". What tells you the piece started as a much longer, somewhat wider blade is the hafting area thickness--3/8"--the Kirk Culture knapper built a thicker hafting area for strength--it worked, even sharpened repeated times the blade didn't break--part of that was the thinning/ fluting flake up from the base of the point, it made the point/ knife secure on the handle (once wrapped in sinew). GREAT patina, guaranteed authentic in every detail. Shipping is $9.00 (USPS charges are out-of-sight). I welcome payments by three methods: cash, checks, or M.O.s--I do NOT use paypal-type services--Roy A.
