The $9 usps "cheapest way" shipping is included with the price on this St. Claire County, Illinois Adena--Adena Dixon, a strong-bodied piece that's 2&7/8" by 1&1/4", a 7/16" thick medial ridge that wasn't going to break easily. Some form of Avon Chert is my best guess as to the chert used--higher grade flint nearer the tip than the base. The slightly "V-eed in" stem shows light grinding on the sides (for safer hafting), but not much grinding on the basal edge. One barb is anciently nicked--use damage, something I expect happened on the more heavily used blade edge. Patina is simply no brainer, the Dixon is a strong knife that saw long usage. I welcome checks, cash, or money orders, however I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
