An extremely rare Mississippian Sword found in Lake Co., Tennessee. This 12" sword was found in 4 pieces by Clem Gaskin in 1992. One end piece has had filler restoration added to it. Jerry Dickey, in his COA, suggested that the sword may have been ceremonially killed. He also suggests that the end piece with the filler may have originally had a narrow mucinate tip typical of Duck River Swords as shown on the back of his COA. The purchaser of this remarkable artifact may wish to have the filler end reshaped to show such a mucinate tip.
