For the price and $8.00 shipping, find a better Robbins--if you can. Some few points, you pick them up and immediately say "Nice point"--here's one. The Jefferson County, Illinois, Adena type was part of a 91 year old's' collection--found (likely) decades past. Cobden Flint (Illinois Hornstone), 2&5/16" by 1&1/4"--the center is 3/8" thick so the blade may have started out considerably longer--a big hafted knife. There is 'some' basal edge grinding, not heavy, though, but the base, the stem, is really thinned and you can really feel the wear polish from long being hafted. To clarify that--when you feel the flake scars are worn down it tells you one of two things: eight the stem was ground, or slight movement in the lashings rubbed the flint to a high polish--the latter is true here. This point, 100% real, would go well in most any Adena material you could collect. I welcome checks (cash) or M.O.s, but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
