This is a fine example of a nutting stone, although, microscopic evaluation of the bottom indicates use as a resin stone. It does show significant heat and smoke stains. It shows heavy use. Regardless, I purchased it from the finder recovered near the San Saba River in San Saba County. I have the shipping and will guarantee authenticity as an ancient artifact.
