If anyone, I seriously mean ANYone misses the creekstain on this Daviess County, Kentucky, Adena, well, it's time to change your glasses. The piece was found some fifteen years back by an old friend, the details he gave me will be included with the sale--provenance matters. Made of hornstone, the length is 2&5/16" by 1&1/4"--5/16" is the max thickness. The base is not broken, a 'make it fit the handle' flint chip was removed when the Woodland hunter didn't like the way the piece hafted--he flattened the basal edge. It may not show in the photos but the tip is heavily use-polished from buffing. Were they working hides or some other surface (bone tools)--regardless, you can feel the polish the flint took on. Shipping is $8.00 (USPS minimum for small boxes), and I take payment ONLY by forms you can send through the mail: checks, cash, or M.O.s. Thanks for looking--Roy A.
