A decent Hardin point found by the late Norman Reid in 1954, the provenance of Wabash Co.,Illinois inked on one face. From the iron rich soil still in the crevices on one face ,'ol Norm never bothered to clean the mud, he marked the history, then placed the Hardin in a display case in his self-operated "Indian Hill Museum". The length is 2&1/4" by a fairly wide 1&1/2"--nearer the tip the thickness is slightly over 3/8", so there was a lot more blade before all the blade sharpening. The Early Archaic knapper did an excellent job of sharpening the hafted knife, very symmetrical, VERY. The basal edge has a very small degree of basal grinding--some, just not much. The flint--as best I can identify it, is Attica Chert, aka Indiana Green, flint that must have been traded up-and-down the Wabash River--downstream, in this case, from Layfette area. Guaranteed real, period. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I use no sorts of 'paypal type' payment systems--Roy A.
