Side notched, but with some degree of basal grinding--not heavy, though. I'd classify the piece in the Late Woodland, the Jacks Reef/ Knight Island group--just slightly out-of-ordinary that they did some basal grinding. The patina is there, though, the piece is guaranteed real, found in Harrison County, Indiana, some years back, an Ohio River beach find1&11/16" by 7/8", and not more than 3/16" max thickness. The flint is a light tan form of Muldrough--best I can identify it, it shows a number of blade-edge sharpenings over it's work life. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, my store does not use paypal--Roy A.
