Banded Nueces Montell
This was a personal screen find by me in Campwood, Texas. The dig was on a pecan bottom terrace overlooking the Nueces River. We were actually digging in a large burned rock midden in the shade of the trees.
This Montell is very thin, pointy, with sharp edges. The fire treated material resulted in a banding of colors on the body of the artifact.
