Classic Nolan
This was a personal screen find by me in Barksdale, Texas.
I pulled this Nolan out of the dirt on the hottest day of the year on a TAAA dig in the early 2000's . The dig was on a terrace close to the Nueces River.
The artifact is about 3 1/2 " long and appears to be heat treated Edward's Chert. The stem is beveled on one side of the face and it appears to be ground.
There is a substantial amount of concretion on both faces which attests to it's age and the length of time it spent in the Acidic soil.
