Laguna Jetta
This artifact was a personal screen find by me in Laguna, Texas. The dig was organized by the TAAA, of which I was a member. The dig was on the side of the Nueces River where there was an old river channel.
This material was fire treated and also has a heavy patina, giving it a pinkish hue.
The Jetta Point is an Early Archaic form which dated from 8,000 to 5,000 years BP.
