An indented shaft scraper on the upper blade edge, work polished, so the Later Archaic (or Woodland) user made heavy use of the notch. The Motley is 2&1/4" by 1&3/16", yet only 1/4" max thickness. The piece was a farm field find, shows a couple small surface chips, modern-made, so they're white against the patinated Crescent Quarry chert. the collection was bunched together in an old store display unit, so how much edge chipping was the result of farm damage, how much was 'collector damage", that's one you can only make a guess at--it's not bad, but if you see a white spot on the edges of any of the pictures, expect it's a tiny modern chip--it keeps the price low. Shipping comes with the list price, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
