Spencer County, Indiana, find made from Harrison county Indiana hornstone2&1/8" by 1&7/16"--thin at only slightly over 1/4" max thickness--tip is VERY thin. One barb proved a 'challenge' for the Early Archaic knapper--a 'stack' in the flint couldn't be thinned without breaking the barb--maybe even the whole point, so it was left as-is. there was slight wear to the blade, you can easily spot the way it was used (tiny chips). For a MacCorkle the basal edge grinding is about usual--not too heavy (much like Kirks). The piece was found by an older farmer, comes from his collection as he downsized--real in every detail. Shipping is $5.00, checks or money orders are the welcomed payment forms. Please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.
