Well made Woodland Culture Cache Blade--or a Hopewell preform blade (North Blade) from southwest Indiana. The blade is thin enough (max thickness is 7/16") that it's edge-translucent when back lighted. Length is 3&3/8", and wide, 2&5/16". Hopewell knappers, when they were making a preform for a big Snyders point, made their blades sufficiently wide to finish with the wide, sweeping curves of a Snyders, the big rounded notches. The pics will show there is a dull red inclusion bullseye near the tip--obviously there was some iron in the raw flint, it left a good coloration to the finished piece. Note that the blade has never been cleaned, you're seeing is with river soil still in the crevices--either White River or Wabash River, Knox County, Indiana, has both streams. Patina is excellent, lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.IO.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
