Cost to ship the trio is included with the list price--nothing extra. These come from the area where the Illinois and the Mississippi river meet, the confluence--the finder lived and hunted that area (deceased). The largest piece is Illinois Kaolin Flint2&9/16" by 1&3/8" by a thick7/16"--the only reason to make a knife so thick was if the blade was once (pre sharpening) a huge blade. Note on this one--the 'slickness' of the Kaolin is something I usually associate with creek finds--that sort of patina that comes by water and flowing sand. Hold the blade, you'll understand.
Typing/ classifying this piece is difficult--to me it's Early Archaic based on the basal grinding, in the Rice Lobed cluster--at one time I think there were more prominent basal corners (before wear). The Buck Creek-type with the barb (s) is Crescent Quarry Flint (high end Burlington)2&5/16" by 1&1/8", but only a quarter inch thick--snap base. the third point is a heat treated Crescent Quarry Flint, Early Archaic ground base, side notched with an ancient basal ding--Graham Cave would be how I typed the piece. Good color (all), decent size, lifetime guaranteed authentic. I welcome checks or M.O.s, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
