82682--A creek stained square-stemmed Adena
Shipping comes with the listed price--no additional costs for this Cypress Creek stained-up Adena...a lot of iron in the creek gravel left an orange stain on the tan--off white chert2&5/8" by 1&1/16". Because the piece was from that Late Archaic-into-Woodland period it was made with a thick medial ridge, 7/16". One added feature is that the tip was formed into a burin/ gouge. Just below that perforating tip is a tiny newly made chip, freshly exposed chert shows the stark white of the inside--right at the weaker shoulder there are a couple more "handling dings" from the finders' "not too careful" handling--price reflects the chips--still a pretty good creek find as-is.
