A Burlington Chert drill, salvaged from a point form--but was it a Pinetree, or a Dalton? Both point forms used a center flute, so that's no help--you can see the flute (as it remains) on both faces, but there was enough use--fracturing--of the base that it's a 'coin flip' as to which culture made the piece. Regardless, the very early Early Archaic user made a very well-fashioned drill-slash-perforator--7500--8,000 BP, they were one skilled knapper. Length of the Jackson County, Illinois, piece is 2&1/8", 7/8" wide, and only a quarter inch thick--the thinness, well, both cultures were known for thin points, so what you call it (besides Drill) is your choice--know that it's guaranteed real in every detail. Shipping is $8.00, checks, cash, money orders, those are the only payment forms I use, paypal-type services are not used on my store--Roy A.
