The shipping is included with the price on this Hornstone Hopewell (or Snyders, take your pick). Made of a glossy Hornstone on the side found "side-up", still creek muddy on the "down face". The info I was able to record gave the find as being along "Ten Mile Creek" in the Jefferson-Bond County, Illinois, area. Given the collectors' age at death this point may have been found before many of us were born--he didn't mark the date (or leave a record). Length is close to 2&1/4" by 1&1/4" across the heavily sharpened blade. When I see a base that wide I expect the 'early stag' width was wide, too. Thickness--here's another indicator of a large (knife) blade--a massive "center of nodule" inclusion pushes the thickness to 1/2". The blade had already seen too many sharpenings, the hunter/ knapper couldn't thin it without risk of breakage. You used what you had, I suppose; the journey to get more flint was likely more difficult than most of us would be willing to attempt.
