The point was in a Posey County, faaar southwest Indiana, collection, but where the Early Archaic flint knapper came by this flint I have little clue. The way the dart point was made, the color bands accent the piece. Every time you think you've seen most every flint used in your area something new comes along, or a different color shade is found. Somewhere in the Ohio River--Wabash River confluence area (Illinois) is a slightly different form of Attica "Green" flint--until proven otherwise that's my 'working assumption" for the flint used for this 1&5/8" Kirk dart/ Palmer. Neat piece of material, well made & patinated point. Shipping is by USPS lowest rate, $7.00. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O>s, but do not take electronic payments (like paypal)--Roy A.
